Greenhouse-A structure, primarily of glass, in which temperature and humidity can be controlled for the cultivation or protection of plants. Agriculture-The science, art, and business of cultivating soil, producing crops, and raising livestock; farming Castings- the correct term for the worm poop, which helps in the decomposition of the waste Decomposition-Breakdown or decay of organic materials. Zy o  eT -  Connection of terms to fieldtrip!!|These terms are important for the students to know because they are discussed throughout the tour of Growing Power. The students need to understand that the worm castings help to form the compost, which is made by the decomposition of materials. This compost is then used throughout the greenhouses to help further enrich the agriculture. The students will also need to be aware of what recycling is because it is a big part of Growing Power. It is important for the students to learn these terms because they need to be aware of how each of these terms work in the environment and able to produce materials that we use everyday. }P   3                                                                                                                                                                                                      Basic Information Cost per student= $5; Cost per adult= $10. Therefore, a class of 40 students, the teacher, and three chaperones, it would cost $ 240. there would also be additional cost of the bus transportation. The student would take a bus to reach Growing Power. Growing Power did not seem to have accommodations for special needs, such as wheelchairs. The students will also see what are the materials neccessary for the suvivial of these plants and animals. This fieldtrip can be connected to Math because the student can figure out the amount of plants that Growing Power produces over the course of one month. This fieldtrip can be connected to English because the students are required to write a summary after the fieldtrip connecting the fieldtrip to their classroom discussions. So they will need to incorporate proper grammar into their summaries. nP#s#                                                                                                                                                                                                Misconceptions IdentifiedDHere are a few misconceptions that will be identified through the tour of Growing Power. Growing Power is not just a worm farm. Every aspect of Growing power is related to each other. Showing the students that it is important to have knowledge of the animals because they have special needs. These were some of the misconceptions that we had before taking our tour of Growing Power. This shows us that some of the students may be confused before they take the tour.
